Glasgow international Airport is located 8 miles west of the City Centre and is close to the towns of Paisley and Renfrew.
If you are travelling via the A1 northbound turn onto the A66 at Scotch Corner. You will eventually come to Kemplay Bank Roundabout, take the second exit which will take you onto the M6 signposted Keswick. Take the Junction 44 exit from here to join the A74 until you come to junction 4, exit here for the A73 and at the next junction onto the M8, travel on here until you reach junction 28. Signs for the airport are clearly marked from here on.
For those travelling from the North, take the A9 or A84 onto the A80, joining the M8. At junction 28 leave the motorway. Signs for the airport area clearly marked from here on.
Expansion continued during the late eighties with a £55 million expansion, increasing the terminal size by 70% to now cater for 8.8 million passengers a year. Glasgow International Airport is the busiest of Scotland's three main international airports. Over 40 airlines currently use its two runways flying to over 90 destinations, and further expansion is planned to increase annual passenger numbers to an estimated 16 million.
