"Vegeta – przyprawa, a właściwie mieszanka przypraw i warzyw produkowana przez firmę Podravka.

Składniki Vegety to m.in. sól, suszone warzywa (marchew, pasternak, cebula, seler, pietruszka), glutaminian sodu, cukier, skrobia kukurydziana, witamina B2.

Produkt został wymyślony w laboratoriach Podravki w 1958 r. Szefem oddziału, który go wymyślił, była Zlata Bartl. Najpierw wypuszczono go na rynek jugosłowiański, pod nazwą Vegeta 40. Produkt zdobył dużą popularność. W 1967 r. rozpoczęto eksport do ZSRR oraz na Węgry. Obecnie, według producenta, Vegeta jest sprzedawana w ponad 30 krajach z całego świata."

"Vegeta's rich history started in ancient 1958 in Podravka's research labs under the guidance of professor Zlata Bartl. Vegeta 40, as Vegeta was named in its beginning, recognizable today for its blue color and charming chef, is a universal food seasoning used for improving dishes and rounding their flavour.
In 1959 Vegeta was launched to the market, and as it will later be seen, started its unstoppable road to success.

Eight years later, in 1967 Vegeta signs first sales contracts with foreign partners and starts its invasion to foreign markets of food seasonings. First foreign countries given the opportunity to enjoy Vegeta were Hungary and Russia

Part of Vegeta's success was constant modernization and listening to latest trends. In 2000 Vegeta starts new automated factory in Koprivnica, and Vegeta factory in Hungary was also opened. That year was marked by the launch of first four special seasonings Vegeta Twist and the launch of Vegeta for sprinkling in a shaker.

In 2001 Vegeta, soup and powdery products factory was opened in Poland.
In 2003 Vegeta Twist products are being packaged into shakers.
Vegeta's long term success in Polish market was in 2004 awarded with "Superbrand".

2005 is particularly dynamic for Vegeta. The first half of the year brings refreshment in its visual identity - Vegeta packaging redesign. Later that year it launches two new universal seasonings to domestic and foreign markets: Vegeta mediteran with Mediterranean spices and light universal seasoning Vegeta light. Prizma agency conducted a research in late 2005 and found Vegeta at the leading position among the strongest brands in the region, and that same year it received "Superbrand" award for Hungarian and Russian market.

Innovations from Vegeta are followed by new products in 2006. Vegeta piquant based on chili, red pepper, garlic, oregano, caraway, and capsicum pieces, and that same year it has a breakthrough to 6 world markets. In Slovak market under Podravka brand Vegeta confirms its quality by receiving "Superbrand" 2006.

In 2007 Vegeta is sold in 40 countries around the world and in all 5 continents. Vegeta constantly brings innovations into its production program and with its quality, traditional recipe and recognizability is differentiated in the market of food seasonings. Vegeta wins the hearts of its users and listening to their eating habits and preferences it is adapting to demands of individual national cuisines and follows nutritionist trends.
