It was five years ago in USA.
Myself and a couple of my mates were laughing for some really trivial reason. Our housemate (in the next room to ours) clearly heard giggle from next door. i've been going to university and i've made the most idiotic mistake in pronoucing tipex instead i asked nicely to borrow tampax and had everyone pause imidietly and after 10 min of explaining they had a good time making fun of me.

Once my english friend asked me what's my e-mail address. I said: XXXX monkey wp.pl, She asked: XXXX what? When I wrote down my e-mail address and explained that we call @ monkey, she laughed. I had no idea that there could be another word for @ than monkey.
