In this topic (ITT) we speak about some words or sentences you said or heard, which were not properly spoken and therefore funny. I'll start with one of my mistakes -
One time I tried to tell my English colleague, that everybody should be treated in the same way at work, when they have the same job to do. Well, I was needed a help the other day and I asked one of my english friends if he could give me a head (instead of give me a hand)

I had funny situation when i was doing shopping in Sainsbury.
After i gave money to cashier, he said 'thank you' and i answered 'that's ok'

Hey, but it's funny. Similar situation, my friend is working in construction industry. When he came here, he could barely understand simple words, but he tried very hard to translate everything into proper polish. So, when other worker said 'thank you' to him, he answered 'please' - in other words - 'dziękuję' - 'proszę'
