If you wish to cancel/change your appointment we require at least 48 hours’ notice, or you will lose the full appointment fee. Please arrive on time for your appointment. If you arrive late, you may need to rebook the appointment and pay again.

Naturalisation application forms AND British Passport forms must be completed in full before your appointment - we are unable to assist with this.
Please note - it is your responsibility to complete the most up-to-date application form & meet the criteria set by the Home Office. You can confirm this on the Home Office website.
You must bring originals of any necessary documents with you to your appointment. We check, copy & certify these documents and return the originals to you before you leave.

All adult applicants must attend in person, however under 18s are not required to attend, unless you are applying for a British passport at the same time - read on for information on this.
FOR E.E.A nationals only - you need to have held a PERMANENT RESIDENCE (P.R) card, dated a minimum of 12months
prior to your application. If you DO NOT have a document certifying permanent residence, you should obtain this before applying for naturalisation. If your P.R document is dated within the past 12 months, you should check directly with the Home Office to ensure eligibility, before attending your appointment with the checking service.
Joint NCS and British Passport application (all applicants):
If you have decided to apply for your British Passport at the same time as you apply for Naturalisation, please note the following extra information:
To use this service, the names on your current passport, your application forms and your documents MUST MATCH. If they do not, unfortunately you can't use the joint passport checking service.
Passport application forms can be obtained from a main Post Office or collected from the Register Office in advance of your appointment.
You must provide THREE identical passport photographs with your application - one attached to the Referee page of your Naturalisation form, and TWO further identical photos for each passport application form. These should be loose (not attached to anything).
*PASSPORT PHOTOS MUST BE FROM THE SAME SITTING AS THAT OF YOUR NCS APPLICATION FORM. There are no exceptions to this*
Payment for the British passport will also be sent with your application - the Passport office will
We will submit your British passport application(s), with the fee, alongside your citizenship application. For this service, any persons who are aged 15yrs and six months at the time of the appointment, must attend the office in person.
If your citizenship application is successful and a ceremony is attended, your new passport will then be dispatched to your home.
If your citizenship application is unsuccessful, there is no refund of the Passport fees.

Once you have attended an appointment with the checking service, we are unable to offer a refund of our fee, regardless of whether your application is sent.
